The best photo from your tour
Every guest takes incredibly beautiful photos during their tour and it would be a shame if they were only to end up in their own smartphone gallery. That’s why we’ve brought an idea to life: We are looking for the 12 best photos taken on our tours and will use them to create a calendar that will be available in the region from next season.
Participation
Until 31.07.2025, anyone who has taken part in a tour with Petter Karlsson Sleddogs can submit their 3 best photos from the tour. It is important that all rules are followed.
- Open to all former guests of a Petter Karlsson Sleddogs Tour.
- Photos must be submitted by 31 July 2025 at the latest.
- We will select the 12 best photos from all submissions and make them into a calendar.
Requirements
Please note the following rules to take part in the challenge.
- max. 3 pictures per person
- Allowed formats are .png, .jpg and .wepb
- Your photos have to be taken during the tour, they can show f. e. dogs, dogsledding, nature, cabins etc.
- The picture was taken by you are you have the consent of the people shown in your photo
- Each file must be labelled as follows: YEAR_MONTH_TITLE_YOUR NAME e.g. 2024_04_Sunsrise over tents_Petter Karlsson.jpg
- With reaching in your photos you agree with the Terms & Conditions

Who can take part?
Everyone that has participated in a dog sledding tour at Petter Karlsson Sleddogs. Min. age 18 years.
How many photos can I submit?
You can submit max. 3 photos.
By when do I have to submit my picture?
The images must be submitted by 31 July 2025 at the latest.
Which formats are allowed?
Photos have to be submitted in .jpg or .png format and must be labelled as follows:

2024_04_Sunsrise over tents_Petter Karlsson.jpg
What must/can be shown in the picture?
The photos must have been taken during a tour with Petter Karlsson Sleddogs. Motifs can be landscapes, dogs, sledges, northern lights or anything else. If other people (e.g. other guests on the tour) are shown in the photo, please make sure that you have their consent to publish the photo (members of the Petter Karlsson Sleddog team have given their consent).
What happens to my pictures?
After uploading, the jury will review your photos and select 13 winning photos for the ‘Petter Karlsson Sleddogs Calendar 2026’. Only the jury will be able to view the photos. From these 13 photos, one winning image will be selected as the cover image via social media voting.

Who decides on the winning photos?
The 12 winning photos will be selected by our internal jury headed by Petter Karlsson. One of these 12 photos will be selected as the cover photo by voting on Petter Karlsson Sleddogs’ social media channels.

1. Eligibility
Participation is open to anyone who has taken photographs during a tour with Petter Karlsson Sleddogs. Participation is free of charge.
2. Submission
Each participant may submit a maximum of three (3) images.
Submitted photos must have been taken during a tour with Petter Karlsson Sleddogs.
The participant confirms that they have personally taken the submitted photos and hold all rights to them.
If a submission is made on behalf of a third party, a simple written declaration from the creator of the photos must be included.
Each file must be labeled with the author’s name, location of the photo, and a title.
3. Rights to the Images
If other identifiable persons are depicted in the photos, the participant must ensure that the consent of those individuals for publication has been obtained.

Terms and Conditions for the Petter Karlsson Sleddogs Photo Contest

By entering the contest, participants grant Petter Karlsson Sleddogs a free, unlimited, and non-exclusive right to use the images for website, social media, and marketing purposes.
Winners expressly agree that their photos may be published in a planned annual calendar featuring monthly images (13 selected images in total).
Publication may occur across print, online, film, and social media platforms (such as Facebook), and may also include public relations activities related to the contest of the winning images, such as on exhibition posters, invitations, e-cards, and potentially in accompanying catalogues, calendars, or books.
4. Data Protection
Personal data collected as part of the competition will be used exclusively for administering and processing the contest and will not be shared with third parties.
5. Withdrawal of Participation
Participants may withdraw their entry up until the official end of the contest on July 31, 2025. Withdrawal requests must be sent via email to booking@petterkarlsson.com.
6. Miscellaneous
Petter Karlsson Sleddogs reserves the right to exclude images from the contest if they do not meet the terms and conditions or violate legal regulations.
By participating, entrants confirm that the submitted photo or series of photos was personally created by them.
Legal recourse is excluded.
By submitting their images, participants explicitly agree to these terms and conditions.
