Packing List - Sleddog Tour
Packing for a winter adventure is always subjective, but we want to give you a recommendation of what we think is necessary for your tour. We will provide you with a hard-wearing and waterproof hold-all that you can keep your things in during your adventure.
This packing list is designed to help you arrive well prepared and comfortable, allowing you to fully focus on the experience.
Clothing
BASE LAYER
☐ 2 pairs of long johns (preferably merino wool)
☐ 2 pair of long undershirts (preferably merino wool)
MID LAYER
☐ 1-2 pairs mid layer trousers
–> f.e. fleece tousers
–> f.e. insultated/padded pants (f.e. like this one from Dobsom)
☐ 1-2 upper mid layers (In brackets you will find examples for comparison. You probably already have something like this in your cupboard and don’t need to buy anything new.)
–> f.e. warm fleece jumper (f.e. like this one from The North Face) or
–> f.e. wool jumper (f.e. from like the one from Ulvang) or
–> f.e. thin down jacket (f.e. like the one from Bergans)
in addition
☐ 2 pairs of thin wool socks
☐ 1 pairs of thick wool socks
☐ 1 warm and windproof hat
☐ 1 scarf or buff
☐ 1 pair of thin gloves/liners
☐ Swim cloth for the sauna
☐ Slippers for the cabins
- Please avoid cotton clothes since they absorb the moisture and cool you down. Wool works much better for this climate.

- Everything you take on the tour must fit into a Base Camp Duffel – L, which we will provide, including the equipment you receive from us.
- Please note that you will have to carry the bag yourself through deep snow and up steps/hills. So only pack what you really need.
