You’ll drive your own team of huskies, spend long days outdoors and travel through the forests, frozen lakes and mountains of the Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve. Last minute Dog Sledding Tour in Sweden
Here, everyone becomes an adventurer! Instead of simply being a passenger, you’ll learn to drive your own sled and work together with your husky team. Our dogs include both experienced champion sled dogs and young dogs with plenty of potential, all trained by world champion Petter Karlsson.
Spending several days with the dogs gives you the chance to get to know their different personalities and understand how a sled dog team works. The relationship between you and your dogs grows throughout the journey, and becoming a team is one of the most rewarding parts of the experience.
Whether you’re completely new to mushing or already have some experience, we offer different ways to experience dog sledding in Lapland. From our five-day Husky Safari to the six-day NEXT LEVEL ADVENTURE and our longer expeditions, you can choose an experience that suits your time and level of adventure.
We value making sure each guest has the best experience, which is why we keep our groups small with a maximum of 4 guests. This way, our guide can spend more time with each individual. Whether you’re traveling alone, with your partner, or with your family, everyone is welcome! Small Group Size
Travelling in a small group makes a big difference when you’re out in the wilderness. There is more time to ask questions, get help with your dogs and learn the practical side of mushing. At the same time, everyone becomes part of the same team and shares the work and experiences along the trail.
Wilderness Accommodation
For us, adventure comes first, which is why our tours take you away from the comforts of everyday life. Depending on the tour, you’ll spend nights in our Wilderness Cabins or in expedition tents. The cabins are simple and cosy, with a wood stove and candlelight, but there is no electricity or running water.
Everyone helps out with the daily chores, whether that means looking after the dogs, fetching water, melting snow, preparing food or gathering firewood. These routines may sound simple, but they are an important part of experiencing life in the wilderness.
After a long day outside, there is something special about sitting together around the fire, enjoying a warm meal and talking about the day. And if the skies are clear, you may even get to see the Northern Lights.
How to get here
We are located in the heart of Swedish Lapland, surrounded by the wilderness of northern Sweden. There are several ways to reach us, with Umeå being one of the easiest starting points. From there, a direct bus service can take you towards Slussfors.
