You’re not just a guest with us — you’re part of the adventure team! In a small group of no more than 4 people, you’ll spend several days in the Swedish wilderness, driving your own sled. You’ll learn everything there is to know about Alaskan Huskies, from how to steer a sled to what they eat daily, how they learn commands, and what makes a great lead dog.
You’ll spend your days deep in the wild, sleeping in rustic cabins without electricity or running water. Everyone pitches in, whether it’s feeding the dogs, collecting water, or chopping firewood. The team spirit grows quickly, and as a bonus, most parts of the trail have no cell service — your adventure will be truly uninterrupted!
Husky Safari
If you want to get a real feel for the sport of mushing, our Husky Safari is the perfect place to start. Over five days, you’ll learn the basics of driving a sled and get to know the individual personalities and needs of your husky team. Each day, you’ll spend around 3–5 hours on the sled, exploring the winter landscape together with the dogs. The tour also includes two nights in our Wilderness Cabins, giving you the chance to experience life with the dogs both on and off the trail.
Next Level Adventure
If you’re ready to take the next step in your mushing journey—or have already joined us on a tour and want to explore further—our NEXT LEVEL ADVENTURE TOUR is the perfect progression. With four days on the sled, we venture deeper into the Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve, reaching the mountains at around 1,000 metres above sea level.
The tour is a shorter, lighter version of our expedition and offers a first taste of what expedition-style mushing is all about. With three nights in rustic wilderness cabins and plenty of time on the sled, you’ll experience the vastness and beauty of the Swedish winter landscape from a whole new perspective.
Wilderness Expedition
For those in search of something more challenging, our EXPEDITIONS offer the ultimate adventure. These tours take you deep into the Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve, far off the beaten path. Most nights are spent camping in tents, giving you a true wilderness experience. Keep in mind that these expeditions require a high level of physical fitness, as you’ll often need to assist your team along the way.
Can Everybody Join a Husky Tour?
No prior experience is needed, as we’ll teach you everything about the dogs and sledding. However, we do require average to above-average fitness (depending on the tour) since there are uphill sections where you’ll need to help push the sled.
