Christmas in Sweden
Dreaming of a white Christmas? In Sweden, the holiday season takes on an even more magical atmosphere with snow-covered forests, husky sledding, and the chance to see the Northern Lights. Join us for an unforgettable Christmas adventure in Swedish Lapland, where dog sledding and wilderness traditions create memories that last a lifetime.
Spend your Christmas or New Year’s Eve in Swedish Lapland
Our Christmas and New Year’s Eve dog sledding holidays are created for travelers who want more than just a festive getaway—they want an adventure. In small groups of no more than four guests, you’ll journey through Vindelfjällen Nature Reserve, part of Sweden’s largest national park. This breathtaking Lapland landscape offers frozen lakes, deep forests, and sweeping mountain ranges. Each night, we stay in rustic wilderness cabins without electricity or running water, giving you a true taste of life in the Arctic. Guests take part in every aspect of the experience: fetching water, lighting fires, and caring for the huskies that make the journey possible.
Dog sledding holidays – Join the Adventure
You don’t need any previous sled dog experience to take part in our husky holidays. Before and during the tour, we’ll teach you everything you need to know about handling the sled and working with the dogs. A moderate to high fitness level is required, as conditions may call for helping push the sled uphill or through fresh snow. Not sure if you’re fit enough? Just ask—we’ll gladly advise you based on our many years of guiding dog sledding tours.
this was our Christmas dogsledding tour 2024
What place could possibly be more magical for Christmas than the snow-covered wilderness of Lapland? On Christmas Eve 2024, our joyful little group came together with four wonderful guests from three different continents to celebrate a holiday unlike any other. Tucked away in a cozy wilderness cabin, surrounded by the soft glow of candlelight and the comforting crackle of the wood stove, the evening felt timeless – a Christmas wrapped in warmth, laughter, and the beauty of nature.
On Christmas Day, the magic continued with a traditional festive feast at the guesthouse after the return from the tour. Between delicious dishes and cheerful toasts, we shared stories, reflected on our days in the Arctic wonderland, and exchanged memories of our own Christmas traditions from around the world. It was a Christmas we will never forget.
Holidays to Sweden Northern Lights
A white Christmas in Sweden is magical—but when the Northern Lights dance across the Arctic sky, it becomes extraordinary. Far from city lights, our Christmas husky tours often include incredible views of the aurora borealis, shimmering in green and purple above the snowy landscape. Combined with the sound of sled dogs howling under the stars, it’s a holiday moment unlike any other.
